Nine finalists have been chosen to compete for Miss Colorado Rodeo during this year's Greeley Independence Stampede.
The Miss Rodeo Colorado executive committee said the finalists from all over the state will compete June 27-30 in conjunction with the Stampede. The top contestant will be named Miss Rodeo Colorado 2008 at a fashion show and coronation event on the morning of June 30. She will hold the title of Lady in Waiting until January of 2008.
Amy Jo Fields of Falcon reigns as Miss Rodeo Colorado 2007 and will make many appearances at the pageant.
The finalists will be introduced to the public during the June 29, Greeley Stampede Rodeo. This rodeo is designated as the "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" Rodeo where the contestant will help collect donations from the public to give to local Breast Cancer Organizations.
Special Guest Miss Rodeo America, Ashley Andrews also will make an appearance at that rodeo.
