Salon Reaction hosted a beauty and fashion show benefit last week for Hope House, the Missouri shelter for victims of domestic violence.
Guests brought clothing, unused makeup and money for the shelter.
Richard Calcasola, the creative director for Profound Beauty, which co-sponsored the event, talked about current hairstyles. Models showed off spring and summer clothing from Bella B’s boutique and, of course, hairstyles from Salon Reaction stylists.
The Johnson County salon will collect new and or gently worn clothing and unused makeup for the shelter through May. Donors get a certificate for a free Profound Beauty consultation and treatment with their next salon service.
Bring items to Salon Reaction, 11520 W. 135th St. in Overland Park, or call (913) 685-7444.
